October 2017

Now, before you go presuming that procrastination is the reason that I am posting this on the second Monday of the month and not the first, allow me to set you straight: You’re absolutely right and it will never happen again.

I don’t even have a fascinating story that explains why I was unable to post on the 3rd of October. To be honest, I am not entirely sure what I was doing. Nevertheless, we shall move on. Swiftly.

October is that time of year that can be a tad difficult to plan for. I’m not sure if it is the same where you live but around this time the weather can be a tad unpredictable. It can feel as though it is going to snow first thing when you’re on your way to work. By lunch time, you feel as though you have been transported back to the Summer months as you attempt to peal a few layers off. Then, typically, when the time comes for you to grab your keys and head home, the heaven opens up and buckets upon buckets of water begin falling from the sky. (If you’re wondering why this explanation is so intricate, allow me to explain: this has happened a few days in a row now. Yay me.)

All that said, I do enjoy the month of October. For me, I go back to Uni, my favourite TV shows are back on, I can start to wear my “fashionable” boots, coats and scarves all over again and it is a really good excuse to curl up under a blanket reading a book in the evenings. (In case you are beginning to question how old I am based on the above, I’m in my early twenties. Yep, you heard me right. Boring over here in the corner…) I know I had mentioned most of the above in my blog post for September. I believe I got a little ahead of myself because I was only back to classes/lectures last week. I’m eager, what can I say!

Another interesting fact about the month of October 2017 is that Tales of a Professional Procrastinator is 1 year old on the 21st of this month! How exciting *Insert happy emoji face here.* For the duration of this month, I have decided to take look back on the year and evaluate how far I have come based on previous posts. I am also going to answer a few questions about me as I appear to be causing a little confusion from time to time! On the 21st of October, I will be posting a blog that directly links back to my very first post about my goals. I’m a tad nervous about this one, however, I’ll be honest and truthful about whether I have made any headway when it comes to the goals I outlined 12 months ago!

So, it’s October. The year is after flying. We are getting ever so closer to 2018, which I can’t believe I am even saying! I hope you have a fab month and get out of it what you are looking for or what you need.

Keep dreaming!
