My intention for this segment was to introduce my lovely readers to a new word or perhaps a word they did not use very often and ask them to incorporate it as much as possible into their everyday language for a week. I never expected it to be as entertaining as it turned out to be.
On a cool Thursday evening, when I sat down to write this post, I took out the Collins English Dictionary (2006 Edition) and opened it at random, three times! On each occasion, I came face to face with words I simply could not ask the public to merge into their everyday communications. Undefeated, I opened the pages of the dictionary one last time and settled on this week’s word that came with quite the little backstory!
Nuance – A small difference in sound, feeling, appearance or meaning.
There you have it people, a word that I most certainly do not use in an average week and the entertaining tale that led to its discovery.
You have exactly 7 days. Keep dreaming!
